Waking up after having two days off and a long night is not a good feeling. Plus, my thoughts were still clouded to why Ryan was crying the night before. My alarm blared, snapping me from my dreams. I groaned and slapped at my bedside table to try and find my phone to turn the alarm off. I didn't even feel the cold screen of my phone when it suddenly turned off. Still in my sleep deprived state, I sat up and got off my bed only to knock into someone. I let out a yelp and fell back onto the bed, scrambling for something to protect myself with.
"Woah, Felix. Calm down friend." A deep voice, slurred slightly from sleep chuckled.
"Ryan?...the fuck bro!" I hissed and tossed the pillow I was clutching at him. It only hit him gently and fell to the floor, making him chuckle deeply again.
"It's five in the morning and your alarm was blaring, it was going off for about five minutes, I thought you weren't going to turn it off so I came to turn it off for you before you woke up your parents." He explained with a yawn an shook his long bangs out of his eyes. He smiled sleepily at me, tilting his head to the side a bit like he was thinking of something. His eyes slowly drifted shut, he stood there swaying faintly. He was asleep.
I shook him gently, waking him up again. "How much sleep did you get, bro?"
"Hmm? Oh, I dunno." He yawned again and sat beside me.
"Nightmares?"
His eyes widened slightly. "H-How did you know?..."
"Ryan, after last night I'm sure you'll be afraid to let your guard down. But I promise that your safe here, like I said, I won't let anyone hurt you again." I smiled gently and rubbed his arm assuringly. He frowned and looked at the ground with a sigh. "I'm going to take a shower since I would be getting up in an hour or two any ways, you can sleep in here and I can wake you up around seven if you want."
"It's ok, I think-"
"No, your going to get some sleep. I'll just be in the bathroom, I'll hear you." Sighing again, he nodded and crawled under the still warm covers. I smiled and ruffled his hair before standing up again and headed to the bathroom. It would still be a while until I get used to Ryan living here, but maybe I can get him to open up to some people. I turned on the water, adjusting it to the right temperature before stepping in. It felt nice, the warm water rushing over me. Though it did bring moments of the other night back...God, what would have happened if I hadn't had followed him? I shuddered at the thought and cleaned my hair and body, taking my time and stepped out. Wiping the water from my eyes I reached for a towel but froze when my fingers grazed the towel rack. Which was empty.
"Shit..." I searched the whole bathroom for any extra towels or any clothes I may have left lying around, but there was nothing. Any dirty towels or clothes would have been thrown down the laundry shoot. I sighed and ran a hand through my wet hair. I could just run out and quickly grab some clothes or something, but that leaves a chance of Ryan seeing me naked. With a quick thought I turned off the bathroom light and quietly opened the door. The whole room was still dark and the light snores of Ryan told me he was asleep. I breathed a sigh of relief and walked normally to my dresser to grab some clothes. Even thought Ryan was asleep and the room was black, my face went red in embarrassment. What if Ryan wasn't actually asleep? What if I woke him up and he saw me walk out naked? He wouldn't be able to see in the dark, but his eyes could adjust to the dark... As I stood there like the naked idiot I was, thinking of stupid things, Ryan stirred and woke up.
"Felix? What are you doing just standing there?" He yawned, sitting up in the bed and rubbing sleep from his eyes.
"Oh, uh, nothing! Just trying to find something I dropped." I said quickly and scrambled to find something to cover myself up with. Why did my room have to be so clean?
"Here, I'll turn on a light for you-"
"No! No, I'm ok. Just found it." I gave a weak laugh.
"Ok..." He said, his voice sounded so adorable I couldn't help but say "awe" quietly. "You didn't find what you dropped did you? I'm going to help then!"
"W-What?! No! I'm fine!" I grabbed random clothes from my dresser and made a run for the bathroom, which is hard in the dark.
"Get back here, Felix." Ryan chuckled darkly and came after me. I let out a small yelp and ran into the door frame of the bathroom. Ryan's footsteps got faster so I stumbled into the bathroom, the loud thump outside the door was probably Ryan trying to grab me. "You no fun." He said cheerfully and walked away. I let out a sigh of relief and slipped on my clothes, I chuckled lightly when I looked in the mirror. I actually didn't look to bad for grabbing clothes in the dark, some faded baggy jeans with rips on the knees and a long sleeved white sweater. When I got out of the bathroom, Ryan slipped in and closed the door behind him, the sound of rushing water came from behind the door. As I gathered my school things from around my room I saw Ryan's poker face mask sitting on his own backpack and I couldn't help but frown. Why couldn't he just stop wearing that thing? I headed downstairs to get something to eat, my mother already in front of the stove cooking eggs and bacon.
"Morning, mom." I said and kissed her head gently and stealing a piece of bacon from the plate.
She smiled. "Morning, honey. Have a good sleep? I head both of you boys up early this morning, what were you doing?" She turned around to face me with a small smirk growing on her lips.
I didn't get it at first so I stood there thinking, chewing the still warm bacon slowly. Then it hit me. "What?! N-No! We weren't doing anything!" I sputtered, chocking on the bacon.
My mother patted my back gently then placed two plates with breakfast on them, on the table. The smirk was still on her face. "Honey, I can see you have something for that boy, you just might not know it yet. Trust me, mothers know these things." Before I could say anything else she walked out of the room and Ryan entered, his head damp and messy, skin clean. Wearing my clothes.
I coughed lightly since some bacon bits were still in my throat. "Um, Ryan? Why are you wearing my clothes?"
"Oh! Well your mom wouldn't let me where my other clothes since they were still wet so she took them to wash them, I think, and left me some of your clothes in my room. Sorry." He replied, a faint blush on his cheeks.
"It's ok, you look good in them any ways." The blush on his cheeks went crimson and he laughed weakly.
"Heh, t-thanks."
"Any ways. Eat cause were going to be leaving for school in a bit." I said and put the car keys in my pocket and started to eat, my thoughts going back to what I had said to Ryan about the clothes looking good on him. It was true, the faded skinny jeans fit him better than the baggy sweat pants he had been wearing before, now showing that he had thinner, yet muscular, legs, and the purple hoodie and graphic T-shirt made him look not so, well, weird. Ryan quickly ate the cooled meal then jumped to his feet and grabbed his things. He was already standing by the door before I had even finished my meal.
"See you after school!" My mother called from the living room.
"Bye, mom." I called with a smile and headed out the door, Ryan following with a slight skip in his step. Guess he's in a better mood. We both slipped into my car and drove to the school, I noticed that we would actually get to class much earlier than I usually do which means no other students will be there for about fifteen or twenty minutes. I glanced over at Ryan and saw him fiddling with the strings of his mask, adjusting it so it was tight enough and dropped his hands into his lap. With a sigh I kept my eyes on the road as the school came into view, Ryan humming some tune quietly. Once I pulled into the parking lot and parked Ryan opened the car and raced out and into the school, leaving me to just watch him as he happily skipped up the rest of the main entrance steps. What's got him in such a good mood? I grabbed my stuff went into the quiet school also skimming over my schedules to make sure I was going to the right classes.
"Oh, hey there sexy." A voice purred ahead of me. I lowered my papers to see some guy standing in front of me, a smirk on his face. He looked like he would be one of the students, even around my age or in the same grade but I've never seen him around before.
"Are you talking to me?" I asked. Really, it was a stupid question since there was no one other than us two in the hall. He chuckled softly and brushed his strawberry blonde hair from out of his eyes, which were a soft grey blue.
"Who else do you think I was talking to? Just us out here." He grinned and took a step closer, I shifted my feet awkwardly, my face probably very red. "You're the new student right? Heard you moved here from Sweden, I guess the rumours are true, Swedish guys are very hot."
"Uh..."
"Gris, I think you've scared Mr.Kjellberg enough." I let out a sigh of relief when I heard the thick French accent.
"Oh Stephano, your just no fun." The 'Gris' kid purred at the taller male, a wide grin on his face.
"Do I have to remind you about not flirting with your students?" Mr.S sighed, standing in front of me almost like he was protecting me.
Gris chuckled. "He's not in any of my classes, so it's not like I'm teaching him. The rules don't apply when I'm not teaching them, do they?"
"What a second, your a teacher? Your so young!" I said shocked.
"Now aren't you just charmer. Yes, I am young, nineteen actually, but I'm going to be twenty in a month." He grinned again, turning his attention to me. "I was a bright student and finished high school when I was sixteen. Though I assure you, I am fully capable in teaching a bunch of confused teenagers drama and health, sometimes even English when that fat cow of a teacher isn't around."
"Gris." Mr.S warned
"What? She is a fat cow. I mean she is fat and she is always in such a pissy mood. I wouldn't- Oh never-mind But now that I think about it, she is away today, that means I'll be teaching English. Do you have an English class today by chance, Mr.Sexy?"
"Uh, yeah, I do." I looked at the ground as my face burned more.
"Oh good! Can't wait to teach you today." He smirked and practically pranced into the main office.
I turned to the French teacher. "Is he really a teacher here?"
He sighed again, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Yes, sadly he is. I think he is to young to be teaching, but that's the school boards decision. I'll see you in class Mr.Kjellberg." He walked around me, entering the office as well, I heard a faint 'I'm so pumped!' before the door closed. Well, better see where Ryan ran off too.

The hall way twisted and turned, often I ended up where I had been before. I sighed and stopped in the middle of the hallway as I thought back to when James had showed me to home room, I wasn't really paying attention then and all I remembered was that the class was at the end of a hall. Gah, why did this school have to be so big?
"Hey, you lost?"
"Huh?" I turned around to see a guy standing behind me, a questioning look on his face. He wore a blue beanie over his short brown waved hair, he actually looked familiar. "Oh, your Aleks. Your Eddie's friend, right?"
He nodded with a slight smile. "Yeah, I am. Now, do you need help finding home room?" I nodded in response.
"That would be great." Aleks walked ahead of me and started to walk through the hallways, and ended up going down a smaller hallway I didn't bother checking. "You know, I feel stupid now since I passed this hallway so many times." I chuckled once we got into the classroom. Aleks shrugged, a small smirk on his face. He didn't really talk much. I glanced to the back of the class to see Ryan at his normal seat, focused on some book. I waved at him with a large grin. "Hey, Ryan!" He looked up but quickly looked down, not saying anything back.
"You actually got him to look up." Aleks chuckled softly.
"Huh?"
"Ryan usually ignores everyone unless it's the teacher. He knows everybody by their voice you know?,so if some random kid did what you just did, he wouldn't look up." He paused and looked at me, studying me. "He trusts you."
"How would you know?" I asked, glancing over at Ryan, he had looked up as if he was trying to hear what we were saying.
"Trust me, I know a lot about people. He only trusts a few people, especially if they helped him out somehow, like how Scott and Russ helped him from these bullies and how they never pried at his life. Now, the question is. What did you do to him?" I opened my mouth to say something but the bell rang and the sound of students in the hall soon became loud. Saved by the bell I guess. I went to sit by Ryan but he shook his head at me when I got close, I sat down beside him any ways, he fidgeted in his seat. He didn't say anything, only focusing on the book that he was reading. I studied the cover, it was some book about the civil war. But I looked over the book a bit and saw that he was actually hiding a comic book, I chuckled softly.
"Neat trick." Ryan grinned from behind his mask.
"You didn't expect me to actually be reading something this boring did you?" I shook my head with a grin in response before turning to look around the class. It was filling up with students, some I remembered from my first day but most of them I had no clue who they were. Toby walked in, face in a novel followed by James and his friends, a few girls with them this time as well. They all took their seats as Mr.S came in, another grin on his face and the day officially started.
~Later on~
"Hey, Felix!" Eddie giggled and sat down at the lunch table, Ryan and I were currently sitting at. I saw Ryan freeze up, and almost stand but I held him down.
"Hey, Sly." Eddie grinned at his nick name and soon the others joined the table as well. Everyone sent me a weird glance since I was sitting with Ryan, but they all said hello to him, trying to be friendly, he only murmured a 'hi' back. Aleks eyed me as he ate his food, not really paying attention to what Eddie was rambling on about, frankly no one was. James was busy talking to Seamus and Dan, Jordon was busy talking to a girl who looked to be his girlfriend, and it was the same for Max.
"You know what's coming up guys?" One of the girls piped up, Eddie sending her a glare since she interrupted him.
"What would that be Luciee?" Jordon asked, the girl he was talking to had a smile on her face and was wearing his red hat.
"You guys seriously don't know?" 'Luciee' gaped. Everyone shook their heads.
"Halloween?..." A quiet voice spoke up. It took me a second to realize it was Ryan.
"Yes! At least someone knows." She stuck her tongue out at everyone then patted Ryan's head. Everyone was still a little shocked that he even talked, but Luciee cleared her throat, breaking the silence. "Now, what's everyone going to be?"
"Aren't we a little old to dress up for Halloween?" I asked.
"Well at this school, they have this annual costume thing, everyone does it. I mean everyone. Anyone who doesn't do it has to do something stupid and embarrassing in front of the whole school, that's how it's been for years." Seamus put in. Eddie nodded excitedly.
"How could I have forgot! Luciee! Why didn't you tell me before? Now I have to rush to get a costume, four days isn't enough time for a good one." Eddie huffed.
"Sly usually always wins the contest for best costume." Toby said with a nod.
"So, what is everyone being?" Luciee asked again with a grin. It ended up that Seamus was going to be Mario James as Gumby, Max as some guy with a bunny head wearing a suit, Dan as a cop, Aleks as a transformer, Luciee as a cat, Nick as a 'horse', Steven as a Viking, Toby as Ezio from assassins creed, Jordon as a camera man, the other girls didn't know yet and Eddie was to busy trying to think of a costume to answer.
"What about you, Felix?" Seamus asked.
I shrugged. "Not sure, bro. I'll think of something though."
"And you, Ryan?" Ryan shrugged as well but didn't say anything, and that's when the idea hit me. I could possibly get Ryan to take his mask off for one day. I leaned over and whispered in his ear.
"I have an idea of what you can be." He shivered, probably because the lunch room was a bit cold, and nodded. I smirked and looked back to my friends who were all talking amongst themselves, all except Aleks. He stared at me and a smirk on his face, like he just proved that he was right. When he saw I was looking at him, he winked and turned to listen to what Eddie was talking about. What would Aleks know that I don't?
